Packed weekend of live music options here in Indy (before a two-week slow down). You have several options to choose from, including:
Thursday, November 17
Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr — Butler University, Atherton Student Union
Last minute free show via MOKB Presents. Early 7:00 start time. Really fun band.
Girl in a Coma — Radio Radio
Pop/punk band will bring the noise. CD Release show in support of new album, Exits & All The Rest (Bonus Track Edition).
Mastodon w/ Dillinger Escape Plan — Old National Centre
Leaders of the new brand of metal. Should be a mind-blower.
Jon McLaughlin – Vogue
Indiana native, singer/songwriter. Another nice option.
Friday, November 18
Tonic Ball
Tenth anniversary of the Fountain Square event. A multitude of bands cover the music of REM (Radio Radio), David Bowie (White Rabbit Cabaret), and Michael Jackson (Fountain Square Stage), and the proceeds go to Second Helpings. Great night.
Big Head Todd and the Monsters & John Hiatt
The WTTS Rock to Read Benefit show.
Saturday, November 19
Brandi Carlile — The Vogue
Show has been sold out for months, so you’ll have to take your chances outside.
John Mellencamp — Clowes Memorial Hall
Legend playing a hometown show for the No Better Than This tour.
Slothpop w/ Arrah and the Ferns and The Embraceables — White Rabbit Cabaret
Slothpop’s return to Indy after a NYC tour. Saturday night at the White Rabbit? Definitely.
Sunday, November 20
Paul Simon — Indiana University
Another legend down in Bloomington. Don’t have a ticket or can’t make it down? WTTS is going to broadcast the show live.
What’s on your agenda?
